Hearts of Oak have secured the services of Herbert Addo as their new coach ahead of the soccer season, Happy FM has reported.

Addo has signed a long-term deal with the club which will see him take over from Mohammed Polo.

The former Aduana Stars trainer makes a return to the club after several years and has been tasked with restoring the Phobian glory.

He was instrumental in Inter Allies Premier League survival and will be keen to build a crack side to challenge Kotoko this season.

Hearts had been linked with moves for Kotoko coach Mas-ud Dramani and Professor JK Mintah of Ebusua Dwarfs but they have moved swiftly to tie Addo down after negotiations with the two coaches broke down.

Hearts will represent Ghana at next year’s CAF Confederation Cup after placing third behind Kotoko and Heart of Lions.
