Two top officials Accra Hearts of Oak have been charged with misconduct by the Disciplinary Committee (DC) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for inciting violence.

Board member Barimah Atuahene and the club's PRO Kwame Opare Addo were on Monday accused of inciting supporters against the match officials for their match against Wa All Stars on Sunday.

The two officials have by Thursday 5pm to respond to the charge or face the Disciplinary Committee the following day.

The two officials were charged for breaching Article 54 of the GFA Disciplinary Code, Articles 35(1)(b) and 35(7)(d) of the GFA General Regulations ahead of the match against the two sides.

The two officials were accused of inciting the club's supporters against the match officials and made false claims and allegations in interviews on various radio stations.

They were also accused of making false claims against the Referees Committee of the GFA and the set of match officials.

According to the charge sheet by the prosecutor Raphael Tottimeh, the insinuations incited Hearts' supporters against the match officials in violation of several disciplinary codes of the federation.

Hearts lost the match 3-1 at the Accra Stadium and lost their place at the top of the league.

But the match was rocked with bottle throwing by fans who thought the referee had allowed an offside goal against the side.

Television replays shows that the goal was perfect as Hearts player Kennedy Appiah was caught in the offside trap in the build up to the goal.
