Aduana Stars goalkeeper Stephen Adams insists he does not fear Hearts No.1 Philemon McCarthy and is itching to challenge him if he completes his move to the capital-based side.

Adams is believed to be closing in on a move to Accra with Hearts ready to break bank to sign him.

GHANAoccernet.com understands that a deal for the reigning Ghana goalkeeper could be wrapped up in the coming days.

McCarthy has been Hearts established number one but struggled with injuries in the past.

The Aduana Stars last line of defense is aware of the competition posed by McCarthy and Tetteh Luggard if he decides to switch to the club.

“I am not afraid at all. When they also signed for Hearts, they met other goalkeepers and managed to make the mark,” he said

“I am ready for the challenge when I sign for the club. But like I said it all depends on my club whom I’m still contracted to.

“You have to believe in yourself and that’s one of my positive traits.”

Adams is eager to sort out his club future with the Ghana Premier League set to start next month.
