Hearts of Oak will be taking serious action against Kofi Agyare who alleged the club offered him a bribe in the past.

The former Berekum Arsenals players has been tagged a corrupt player following series of suspicious own goals he scored against his own side.

The stout defender as a result was frozen out of the first team and has since been responding to this charge to management and some directors of the club.

Agyare however in one of his responses to the allegation made a chilling revelation while giving a past example that his current club offered him money to play it soft against them while with the now defunct Kessben in a Premier League game.

The shocking revelation made by the player has got members of the club especially members of the board and management extremely angry and are now threatening disciplinary action against the player.

“As far as I am concerned Accra Hearts of Oak is not and has never been associated with bribes,” Board member Frank Nelson told Kumasi-based Angel FM.

“So I am very surprised that our own player that is Kofi Agyare will say someone from Hearts have been mandated to offer him bribe.

“Why would you want to join Hearts of Oak when you know we pay bribes?

“What he has said will not be compromised with and we in the entire Hearts of Oak family will not tolerate it.

“I don’t want to comment much about it because it is the work of the CEO and I believe he will take care of it.

“And I will challenge Kofi Agyare to come out and point out who exactly from Hearts of Oak offered him bribe.

“Instead of placing a dirty allegation on Hearts of Oak he should be calm and deal with his issues.

“The club cannot be ridiculed in this manner and our supporters will not be happy to hear things like this.

“I mean he is a current player of Hearts of Oak and he had the guts to say things like that. I think this is ridiculous and we should condemn it.”
