Hearts of Oak coach Herbert Addo remains defiant of his side’s chances of winning a historic quadruple including the CAF Confederation Cup this season.

The Phobians are on the edge of crashing out of Africa having suffered an emphatic 4-0 defeat to Esperance in the first leg of the ultimate qualifier.

Hearts have also endured a more inconsistent form in the domestic league – seeing them finish 10th after the first round of the First Capital Plus League.

The Ghanaian giants have however progressed steadily in the FA Cup and Elite Cup competition – which remains the club’s best prospects of winning some silverware this season.

But Herbert Addo refuses to give into general assertions that their campaign, particularly in the CAF Confederation Cup has come to an end.

“We are moving forward. After the Esperance game everyone will see that the quadruple is still possible,” he told Kasapa FM.

“I will remain positive on our chances this season.”

Hearts will face Elmina Sharks on the Elite Cup on Wednesday before facing Esperance in the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup early in June.
