Ghana striker Jordan Ayew is keen to join Lille OSC, claims new coach Herve Renard.

The former Ivory Coast coach, who joined the French outfit on a three-year deal has made the Lorient attacker his number one target.

Renard is a long time admirer of the Ghana international and has not hidden his desire to bring him to the club.

"I can confirm that Jordan [Ayew] wants to come me [at Lille], but he has a boss. It is he who decides," the 46-year-old told le10sports.

"The only problem is that he may be a bit expensive, not to mention the competition of English clubs who will enter the race. It will be increasingly difficult."

Ayew the youngest son of Ghana legend Abedi Pele has also been strongly linked with a move to the England with Liverpool and Everton believed to be his suitors.
