The Guardian reports that struggling Bundesliga side Hoffenheim has appointed 28-year-old Julian Nagelsmann as their new head coach. Nagelsmann replaces Huub Stevens, who was forced to step down earlier this week because of a heart condition. Nagelsmann was due to begin the job next season however Stevens’ ill health has brought his tenure forward. Only 28 Nagelsmann has become the youngest head coach in Bundesliga history. The German played at youth level for 1860 Munich and Augsburg before his career was ended by persistent knee problems. Hoffenheim are currently second from bottom in the Bundesliga table at the moment.
