Hoffenheim coach Ralf Rangnick says Prince Tagoe's effort in the Bundesliga will help the striker secure his place in Ghana's World Cup team in June.

The forward crowned his fairytale season with two goals on Saturday that secured their 2-1 win over Einthracht Franfurt on one of the last games of the season.

Tagoe came on as a substitute in the 77th minute and barely three minutes later he put his side level after the home side had taken the lead throgh a cracker.

And eight minutes later, the Ghanaian came secured the well deserved 2-1 victory and was handed the man of the match award - not only because of his goal.

"For me, this is dream has come true. These goals are very important to me. Now I'll just call my parents in the U.S. and tell them everything," said the Ghanaian international, who had been classified in the summer of 2009 as having a serious heart condition.

Hoffenheim then cancelled the three-year contract with their new signing leaving him to his own fate.

By the end of January, the career of Tagoe was hanging by a thread, and only a second medical restored the 23-year-old as healthy and was then re-employed.

"He got in at the the hard times to help them team," said Hoffenheim midfielder Sejad Salihovic said of the Ghana international striker.

Even coach Ralf Rangnick was relieved: "I am pleased for Prince. That will put him in a position to secure his World Cup place," he said.

The win means Tagoe put a good finishing note to Hoffenheim's disappointing season as they finish in the middle on the table.
