Honours even for Faisal and Kotoko in derby

Posted On Sunday, 30th December 2012

Asante Kotoko drew 1-1 with Real Tamale United

King Faisal remained unbeaten in four matches after drawing 1-1 with champions Asante Kotoko on Sunday in the Ghana top-flight.

Faisal equalized in the second half to deny Kotoko the points in the Premier League game played on Sunday.

Prince Boanteng’s 61st minute strike drew Faisal level after going down in the 39th minute courtesy a Kofi Nti-Boakye goal.

Kotoko have now drawn a staggering eight games and will certainly lose their top four spot before the final game of the first round is cleared next weekend.

The point picked up by Faisal however will help propel and consolidate their 10th place.

Kotoko will play Liberty Professionals on Sunday in the final first round game in their quest to successfully defend their Premier League title.
