Liberty Professionals and All Stars shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in their Ghana Premier League opener at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Midfielder Tamimu Muntari scored first for Liberty in the 7th minute mark but Samuel Boateng defrayed the debt for All Stars with a close range strike 12 minutes after the break.

Liberty, playing without influential Ghana U20 duo Ebenezer Assifuah and Kennedy Ashia as well as Daniel Agyei, were hoping to begin their season on a brighter note.

And Muntari gave them the right impetus when he scored as early as the 7th minute for Liberty.

Liberty created a couple of chances and should have topped up their tally but failed to convert.

But All Stars fought back after the break and Samuel Boateng scored to give them a point from the game.
