Hope alive for Ebenezer Ofori as scan reveals AIK Stockholm star did not break a bone

Ghana and AIK Stockholm youngster Ebenezer Ofori has been boosted with news that his injury picked up against Halmstad is a minor one and he could be in contention against Gothenburg this weekend.

The 20-year-old youngster has been splendid in the Swedish league this season for AIK Stockholm and it was feared that he had  broken his leg after a nasty collision during a league game against Halmstad.

But reports on Thursday afternoon revealed by doctor Karol Zyto is that it was an impact injury and the player could be back in action against Gothenburg over the weekend.

"We are very lucky Ofori did not not break anything though he is still in pain," Karol Zytol said

"If we are lucky he can play this weekend and there is certainly a chance that he plays."

"We just have to wait and see how the next few days rehab goes."

Ofori has been a regular for AIK this season with 26 appearances which has helped propelled  Stockholm to second place on the Swedish league table same points with Norrkoping but inferior on goal summation.
