NETHERLANDS

Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Rodney Antwi could not make the FC Utrecht squad for their 2-1 home triumph over Vitesse Arnhem on Saturday.

Elsewhere in the Eredivisie Roda JC and NEC Nijmegen played out a pulsating 0-0 draw at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion with close to 14,000 fans on attendance. Ghana striker Richmond Boakye-Yiadom was not in the Roda squad for the game but winger Edwin Gyasi played 81 minutes for them. NEC also missed Ghanaian defender Marcel Appiah who is nursing a knee injury.

AZ Alkmaar recorded an handsome 3-1 away win over De Graafschap on Saturday. Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen warmed the bench for Alkmaar.

Central defender Johan Kappelhof played the entire minutes of the game for FC Groningen who posted a 3-1 win over Heerenveen.

FC Twente are still without a win in their opening five games of the season after drawing 2-2 with Ajax Amsterdam on Saturday. Ghanaian pair of Shadrach Eghan and Thomas Agyepong were not in the Twente squad for the game but defender Kenny Tete who has committed his international future to the Netherlands played the entire minutes for Ajax.

Meanwhile in the second-tier league, Manchester City loanee Divine Naah scored a 70th minute equaliser goal for NAC Breda who drew 1-1 with MVV.

Still in the second-tier league, Ghana U23 attacker Raymond Gyasi scored a 7th minute opener for Emmen who destroyed RKC Waalwijk 6-1. He was replaced by Dutch-born Ghanaian Erixon Danso in the 56th minute. Danso has committed his international future with Aruba.

Striker Johnathan Opoku Agyemang was booked in the 62nd minute and played the entire game for VVV Venlo who beat Go Ahead Eagles 2-1.

GERMANY

Daniel Opare missed out of Augsburg's 2-1 loss at Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The former Real Madrid Castilla player is nursing an injury.

Hamburg SV manager Bruno Labaddia left out Ghanaian starlet Gideon Jung from the Hamburg squad that posted a 3-0 win over Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday. The highly precocious 21-year-old midfielder celebrated his 21st birthday on Saturday.

Ghanaian defender Manfred Osei-Kwadwo failed to make the Kaiserslautern squad for their 2-0 home loss against Freiburg.

Ghanaian-born Swedish U21 defender Joseph Baffo was a pillar in central defence for Eintracht Braunschweig who posted a 3-0 win over FSV Frankfurt on Saturday. Defender Philemon Ofosu-Aryeh conspicuously missed out of the Braunschweig squad for the game.

Elsewhere in the third-tier league, striker Prince Owusu came off the Stuttgart II bench in 3-0 loss at Hallescher FC on Saturday.

Still in the Liga 3, Aalen were held to a 0-0 stalemate by visiting Holstein Kiel. Former Borussia Dortmund midfielder Evans Owusu Nyarko played the entire minutes of the game for Holstein Kiel while Ghanaian-born Canadian international Randy Edwini-Bonsu came off the bench to play the last 20 minutes for Aalen.

ENGLAND

Black Stars full-back Abdul Baba Rahman failed to make the Chelsea squad when they suffered a 3-1 defeat against Everton at the Goodison Park on Saturday's early kick-off in the EPL.

Winger Christian Atsu once again could not make his debut for Bournemouth and missed out of the squad entire for their 3-1 loss at Norwich City. Norwegian midfielder of Ghanaian descent Alexander Tettey was booked in the 20th minute and he played the entire match for City.

Injured forward Kwesi Appiah watched from the stands at the Selhurst Park as Manchester City defeated his Crystal Palace side 1-0 with former Right to Dream Academy graduate Kelechi Iheanacho scoring the only goal of the game for the Citizens.

Andre Ayew tasted his first defeat in the English Premier League after playing the entire duration for Swansea City in their slim 1-0 loss at Watford on Saturday. He played the entire 90 minutes. English-born Ghanaian Bernard Mensah failed to make the Watford squad for the game.

Leicester City preserved their unbeaten run since the start of the campaign after beating Aston Villa 3-2 on Sunday. Black Stars wing-back Jeffrey Schlupp played the entire minutes of the game for City but starlet Joe Dodoo was not in their squad for the game. Jordan Ayew came off the Villa bench in the 66th minute to replace Spanish international Charles Gil.

In the Championship, Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu was not in the Brighton and Hove Albion squad for their slender 1-0 win over Hull City. Manager Chris Hughton rested the former Feyenoord man.

Winger Albert Adomah was left out of the Middlesbrough squad for their 2-0 win over MK Dons. Andrew Osei-Bonsu was not in the Dons squad for the game.

Former Liberty Professionals boy Koby Arthur failed to make the Birmingham City squad for their 4-2 win over Bristol City on Saturday.

In the League One, former King Faisal starlet Enoch Ebo Andoh played the entire 90 minutes for Port Vale when they defeated Wigan Athletic 3-2.

In the League Two, both Kevin Osei and Derrick Asamoah starred for Carlisle United when they defeated Dagenham & Redbridge 2-1 on Saturday.

Crystal Palace loanee Hiram Boateng was booked in the 85th minute played the entire 90 minutes for Plymouth when they beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-1.

In other games former Arsenal starlet Zak Ansah came off the Newport County bench in the 68th minute to play in their 2-1 home loss against Morecombe Wanderers. Former Chelsea reserve team captain Nana Ofori-Twumasi also played on the flanks for Newport.

SPAIN

Ghanaian youth international Thomas Partey failed to make the Atletico Madrid squad for their 2-1 home reverse against La Liga title-holders Barcelona on Saturday.

Black Stars midfielder Wakaso Mubarak came off the Las Palmas bench in the 86th minute to debut in their 3-3 draw with Celta de Vigo on Sunday night.

Athletic Bilbao recorded their first win of the season at the expense of Getafe. Spanish-born attacker of Ghanaian background Inaki Williams Dannis watched the game from the San Mamés Barria due to injury problems. Black Stars midfielder Bernard Mensah warmed the bench for Getafe as he is yet to make his debut for the club.

In the Segunda Division, midfielder Fatau Mohammed warmed the Almeria bench during their 1-0 at Luga on Saturday.

Goalkeeper Razak Braimah manned the post for Cordoba who ran away with a slim 1-0 win over Real Zaragoza.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba failed to make the Elche first team squad when they posted a 1-0 win over Gimnastic.

Ghanaian youth defender Kassim Nuhu sat on the Real Mallorca bench when they drew 0-0 with Numancia.

In the Segunda B, Ghana youth midfielder Clifford Aboagye started from the bench for Granada B when they beat Linense 1-0. But brother of Derek Boateng -  Richard Boateng captain the Granada B side to victory.

ITALY

Midfielder Raman Chibsah played the entire duration of the game for Serie A newcomers Frosinone when AS Roma defeated they 2-0 on Saturday.

Kwadwo Asamoah watched from the stands at the Juventus Arena when Chievo Verona held his Juventus side to a 1-1 draw.

Afriyie Acquah scored a 73rd minute equaliser for Torino who maintained their unbeaten run in the season with a 2-2 draw on Sunday.

Palermo and Carpi shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw on Sunday afternoon. Swedish international of Ghanaian descent Robin Quaison played the entire match for Palermo but Isaac Cofie could not make the Carpi squad for the game.

Elsewhere Sassuolo also drew 2-2 with Atalanta in a pulsating clash at the Stadio Città del Tricolore. Former Inter Milan midfielder Alfred Joseph Duncan assisted the second goal for Sassuolo and played the entire 90 minutes of the game.

Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu recovered from injury to play in the second-half for Udinese who lost 2-0 at Lazio.

In the Serie B, Pescara claimed a 2-1 win over Perugia at their background. Ghanaian midfielder Amidu Salifu played 74 minutes for Perugia while Ransford Selasi sat on the Pescara bench. Defender Masahudu Alhassan was not in the Perugia squad for the game.

Former Tema Youth midfielder Moses Odjer was not in the Salernitana team that drew 2-2 with Brescia on Saturday.

Livorno maintained their leadership at the top of the table after beating Como 2-1. Former Inter Milan Primavera player Isaac Tuah Ntow warmed the bench for Como.

Midfielder Emmanuel Doudu Besea was not in the Modena team when they lost 2-0 at Avellino.

Neither Isaac Donkor nor Kingsley Boateng was in the Bari squad they drew 0-0 at Vicenza on Saturday.

In the Lega Pro, Ghanaian midfielder Dennis Kumih sat on the Ramini bench as SPAL defeated them 1-0.

FRANCE

Ghana striker Majeed Waris marked his return from injury with a strike and an assist for Lorient in their 3-1 win over Angers.

Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah failed to make the Lille squad for their game with Olympique Lyon which ended 0-0.

French-born defender Grejohn Kyei assisted the equaliser for Stade Reims when they drew 2-2 with Toulouse on Saturday.

Defender Dennis Appiah excelled in defence for Caen who posted a 3-1 win over Troyes with ten men.

In the Ligue 2, Ghana U20 defender Emmanuel Ntim failed to make the Valenciennes squad for their 3-1 home loss against Dijon.

Banned defender Jonathan Mensah watched from the stands as his Evian TG side posted a 4-0 humiliating defeat at Auxerre.

In the Ligue de National former Nania FC and Ghana U17 captain Charles Boateng was yellowed and played the entire match for Avranches who drew 1-1 with Colmar.

Midfielder Joachim Aduko was also in action in for Béziers who lost 2-0 against Orleans.

PORTUGAL

Midfielder Alhassan Wakaso was booked in the 85th minute and played the entire match for Rio Ave who lost 2-1 against Sporting on Sunday.

In other games, midfielder Ernest Ohemeng played the entire match for Moreirense when they drew 0-0 with União Madeira. Ghana youth pair of Emmanuel Boateng and Caleb Gomina were not in the Moreirense squad for the game.

In the second-tier league, winger Ishmael Yartey marked his debut for Gil Vicente by coming off the bench to play in their 2-0 away win over Santa Clara.

FC Porto loanee Lumor Agbenyenu was not in the Portimonense when they drew 2-2 with Feirense.

Emmanuel Oti failed to make the Sporting Braga B squad for their 1-0 win over Mafra.

USA

David Accam scored a sumptuous strike for Chicago Fire in their 3-2 loss against New York Red Bulls on Friday night. Patrick Nyarko also played in the game for Fire. English-born Ghanaian Lloyd Sam assisted the second goal for Red Bulls.

Black Stars defender Harrison Afful assisted both goal for Columbus Crew in their 2-1 away win over Philadelphia Union.

Kwadwo Poku came off the bench in the 66th minute to replace Frank Lampard in New York City FC's 2-1 loss at FC Dallas.

In other games Dominic Oduro came off the Montreal Impact bench in the 38th minute to play in their 0-0 draw with LA Galaxy.

SWITZERLAND

Former Liberty Professionals player Ebenezer Assifuah was replaced in the 55th minute by FC Sion who beat Lugano 3-0.

Former Hearts of Oak forward Samuel Afum came off the bench to play the last 7 minutes for Young Boys in their 4-0 drubbing of Vaduz.

SWEDEN

Midfielder Enock Adu Kofi scored his second league goal of the season to help Malmo FF earn a point in their 1-1 draw with former champions Elfsborg.

AIK Solna posted a 4-2 win over Falkenberg on Saturday. Defender Ebenezer Ofori played the entire 90 minutes for AIK while Godsway Donyoh started for Falkenberg who had Enock Kwakwa on their bench.

Orebro and Hammarby shared the spoils in a 0-0 drawn contest. Former Inter Allies defender Joseph Aidoo failed to make the Hammarby squad for the game.

IFK Goteborg defeated Helsingborg IF 2-1 at their own backyard. Ema Boateng played the last 7 minutes for Helsingborg while Sabah Lawson was unused. Prosper Kassim missed out of the squad entirely.

BELGIUM

Genk managed to hold Anderlecht to a 0-0 draw. Winger Frank Acheampong came off the bench in the second-half to play Anderlecht but Bennard Kumordzi missed the game with injury.

Eugene Ansah warmed the Lokeren bench for their 1-0 away win over Standard Liege. Ghana U20 forward Benjamin Tetteh could not make the Liege squad for the game.

Dutch-born defender Mitch Apau played in defence for Westerlo in their 2-2 draw with KV Mechelen.

Samuel Asamoah warmed the bench for OH Leuven in their 0-0 draw with Kortrijk.

Defender Nana Akwasi Asare played full throttle for champions KAA Gent who held Zulte-Waregem to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

Former Ghana U20 forward Kwame Nsor played 81 minutes for RFC Seraing who held Deinze to a 2-2 draw in the second-tier league.

DENMARK

Versatile defender Daniel Amartey played full throttle for FC Copenhagen in their 4-1 thrashing of AaB on Sunday.

In the second-tier league, Joseph Mensah scored an 84th minute goal for Horsens who beat HB Koge 3-0.

AUSTRIA

Ghana youth trio of Lawrence Ati-Zigi, David Atanga and Ralph Dwamena all played for Liefering in their 4-1 win on Friday.
