Ghana's AFCON stars returned to action for their clubs abroad over the weekend with whizkid Christian Atsu getting on target for FC Porto in the Portuguese top flight. 

Attacker Samuel Afum also marked his debut in the Swiss Super League.

ENGLAND Ghana winger Albert Adomah came off the bench in the 64th minute to play for Bristol City when they lost 2-1 at Cardiff  City on Saturday.

Former Dundee United box-to-box midfielder Prince Buaben failed to make the Watford first team grade once again when the enhanced their chances with a 4-0 victory at Birmingham City.

In the League One, Crystal Palace loanee Kwesi Appiah was an 83rd minute sub by Yeovil Town when they hammered Scunthorpe United 3-0.

Winger David Amoo was introduced in the 70th minute by Tranmere Rovers who lost 2-0 to Shrewsbury Town on home grounds.

FRANCE Olympique Marseille moved within five points of leaders PSG after beating Valenciennces 1-0.

While Jordan Ayew was serving suspension, Andre Ayew played the entire match for Marseille.

Mohammed Abu made his debut for Lorient after coming off the bench as a 74th minute in their 2-1 Evian TG.

Evian were without Ghana pair of Rabiu Mohammed and Jonathan Mensah.
