Andre Ayew dominated the headlines among Ghanaian players abroad over the weekend after scoring on his debut for Swansea City against Chelsea. The deputy Ghana captain was in superb shape at the Stamford Bridge.

There were also goals for Francis Narh in Czech Republic, Edwin Gyasi scored and reacted to a racial abuse with a double-middle finger in the Netherlands.

Ema Boateng also grabbed his fourth goal for the season for Helsingborg IF in Sweden while Kwame Nsor scored in the Belgian second-tier league.

Manchester City starlet Divine Naah and Black Stars defender Daniel Amartey suffered bad weekends by picking red cards in their respective league matches.

Attacker Jordan Ayew marked his Premier League debut for Aston Villa under unconvincing fashion as he lasted 59 minutes in their 1-0 victory over league debutants Bournemouth. Black Stars winger Christian Atsu missed the tie with back injury problems.

Youngster Bernard Mensah could not make the Watford squad for their 2-2 draw at Everton on Saturday.

Versatile attacker Jeffrey Schlupp flourished in Leicester City's 4-2 smashing of Sunderland at the King Power Stadium.

Ghanaian-born Norwegian international Alexander Tettey was booked in Norwich City's 3-1 home loss against Crystal Palace. Black Stars forward Kwesi Appiah is out of the Palace squad with an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Andre Ayew hogged the headlines in the UK after scoring a brilliant stab on his debut for Swansea City as they held Chelsea to a 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Andre played the entire minutes of the game for the Swans.

In the Championship, Birmingham City cruised to a 2-1 win over Reading. Neither Koby Arthur nor Tariqe Fosu was in the Birmingham and Reading squad respectively.

Albert Adomah was a full-timer for Middlesbrough as they drew 0-0 with Preston North End.

Former Arsenal starlet Zak Ansah was not in the Charlton Athletic squad as they managed a 2-0 win over QPR.

Andrew Osei-Bonsu could not gatecrash the Milton Keynes Dons squad for their 4-1 away triumph over Rotherham.

Ghana U23 winger Enoch Ebo Andoh was introduced in the 79th minute by Port Vale who held Crewe Alexandria to a 0-0 draw.

Still in the League One, former Arsenal starlet Abu Ogogo was booked in the 65th minute as he lasted the entire match for Shrewbury Town in their 2-1 home loss against Millwall.

In the League Two, French-born Ghanaian Kevin Osei replaced Derrick Asamoah in the 79th minute as they helped Carlisle Town to hold Mansfield to a 1-1 draw.

Scottish-born Ghanaian defender Ebby Nelson-Addy warmed the Hartlepool bench as they won 2-0 against Morecambe.

AUSTRIA

Ghana U20 midfielder David Atanga sat on the Red Bull Salzburg bench as they were held to a 2-2 draw at Admira. German-born Ghanaian midfielder Reinhold Yabo missed the game with injury.

Ghana U20 goalkeeper Lawrence Ati-Zigi manned the post for Liefering who managed a 5-3 victory over visiting A Salzburg. Midfielder Ralph Dwamena was not in the Liefering squad for the game.

BELGIUM

Midfielder Bennard Kumordzi missed KRC Genk's 0-0 draw with Zulte-Waregem due to match fitness concerns.

Dutch-born defender Mitch Apau scored the leveller for Westerlo who fought from a goal down to beat OH Leuven 3-2. Ghanaian midfielder Samuel Asamoah was sent off in the 92nd minute.

Former Liberty Professionals starlet Eugene Ansah was unused by ten-man Lokeren who held Kortrijk to a 0-0 draw.

Frank Acheampong watched from the bench as his Anderlecht side succumbed to a 1-1 draw against champions KAA Gent. In action for Gent was Ghana defender Nana Akwasi Asare.

Ghana U20 forward Benjamin Tetteh was not in the Standard Liege team that side that beat Waasland-Bereven 1-0 on Sunday. David Addy was not in the Bereven squad for the game.

In the second-tier league, former Ghana youth international Kwame Nsor scored a 6th minute opener for newly-promoted Seraing United as they beat KSV Roeselare 2-0.

FRANCE

Abdul Majeed Waris was not in the Lorient side that held Olympique Lyon to a 0-0 draw on Sunday evening.

French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah was in commanding form in defence for Caen who shocked Olympique Marseille after beating them 1-0 at the Stade Velodrome.

Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah could not make the Lille squad for their 1-0 home loss against giants PSG.

Ghana U20 star Emmanuel Ntim could not make the Valenciennes first team squad as they drew 0-0 with Auxerre.

DENMARK

Ghana defender Daniel Amartey was sent off while in action for FC Copenhagen in their 1-1 draw with Nordsjaelland.

Danish-born Kevin Mensah played the last 9 minutes for Esjberg who slipped to a heavy 4-0 loss against Sonderjyske.

NETHERLANDS

Attacker Edwin Gyasi scored and assisted a goal for Roda FC who posted a 3-1 victory over visiting Heracles Almelo in the Eredivisie on Saturday. Gyasi could be punished for showing his middle fingers to Heracles fans who targeted him with monkey chants.

Would-be Ghana international Elvis Manu came off the bench to play the last three minutes of regulation time for ten-man Feyenoord who defeated FC Utrecht 3-2. Youngster Rodney Antwi was not in the Utrecht squad for the game.

Dutch-born defender Kenny Tete was in full-time action for Ajax Amsterdam who posted a 3-0 win over AZ Alkmaar. Ghana U23 attacker Raymond Gyasi failed to make the AZ squad but Dutch-born defender Derrick Luckassen came on in the second-half for AZ.

Johnathan Opoku Prempeh marked his league debut for VVV Venlo as they held Almere City to a 3-3 draw.

Manchester City loanee Divine Naah was sent off in the 31st minute after picking a double booking as his NAC Breda side slipped to a 4-1 home loss against Volendam.

Ghanaian-born Aruba international Erixon Danso scored on his debut for Emmen as they posted a smooth 3-0 win over Oss.

Elton Acolatse and Leeroy Owusu were not in the Jong Ajax team that lost 2-1 at Achilles 29.

CZECP REPUBLIC

2013 Ghana U20 attacker Francis Narh scored both goals for Banik Ostrava as they split points with Mlada Boleslav in a 2-2 draw. His Ghanaian compatriot Derrick Mensah also played the entire minutes of the game for Ostrava.

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES

Defender Samuel Inkoom was in action for Portuguese top-flight side Boavista as they suffered a 3-0 battering at the hands of Celta de Vigo in a pre-season friendly.

Thomas Partey played full throttle for Atletico Madrid as they won 1-0 against Leganes on Saturday.

Atletico Madrid loanee Bernard Mensah was in action for Getafe who sneaked past Albacete.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was in action for Udinese who slipped to a 2-0 loss against Granada.

CAF COMPETITION

Ghana trio Richard Kissi Boateng, Daniel Nii Adjei and Solomon Asante all started the game for DR Congo giants TP Mazembe as they sneaked past Egyptian side FC Smouha 1-0 in the CAF Champions League on Saturday. Midfielder Gladson Awako was unused.

ITALY

Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah was not in the Juventus squad as they posted a 2-0 win over Lazio to lift the Italian Super Cup on Saturday.

PORTUGAL

Former Ghana U17 midfielder Emmanuel Oti starred for Sporting Braga B as they held Chaves to a 2-2 draw.

SCOTLAND

Midfielder Prince Buaben was booked in the 11th minute and played full throttle for Heart of Midlothian who defeated Dundee FC 2-1.

Abdul Osman and former Liverpool starlet David Amoo were both in action Partick Thistle who were beaten 2-0 by Celtic.

SERBIA

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Obeng Regan was in action for Cukaricki who beat OFK Belgrade 1-0.

SWEDEN

Ghanaian forward Ema Boateng scored his second goal from two straight games after coming off the bench to score the winner for Helsingborg IF when they defeated Falkenbergs 3-2. His former RtD Academy team-mate Enock Kwakwa came off the bench to play for Falkenbergs but Godsway Donyoh was unused.

Enock Adu Kofi was a full-timer for ten-man Malmo FF who beat Goteborg IF 2-1.

King Osei Gyan missed Halmstad BK's 0-0 draw with Avitdabergs with injury.

Nasiru Mohammed and Kwame Bonsu both started for BK Hacken and Gefle IF respectively as the sides shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

In the second-tier league, Kingsley Sarfo was in action for Sirius who drew 3-3 with Ljungskile.

USA

AWOL Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey kept his tenth clean sheet of the season as he helped Portland Timbers to manage a 1-0 win over David Accam's Chicago Fire. Patrick Nyarko replaced Accam on the 43rd minute.

Dominic Oduro could not score as his Montreal Impact side slipped to a 1-0 loss against FC United. Canadian-born Ghanaian Kofi Opare warmed the United bench.

Gershon Koffie was in superb shape for Vancouver Whitecaps who demolished Real Salt Lake 4-0.

Gyasi Zardes scored the opening goal for LA Galaxy in their 3-1 win over Seattle Sounders on Saturday night.

Black Stars defender Harrison Afful is yet to make his debut for Columbus Crew as he missed their 2-1 away victory over Colorado Rapids.

GERMANY

Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Jung played the last 20 minutes for Hamburg SV who suffered elimination from the Pokal Cup after losing 3-2 against Jena.

ITALY

Want-away midfielder Godfred Donsah was not in the Cagliari team as they thrashed Entella 5-0.

Inter Milan loanee Isaac Donkor was not in the Bari squad for their 2-1 loss against Fraggia but AC Milan loanee Kingsley Boateng played the entire game for Bari.

NORWAY

Former Manchester United triallist Ernest Asante assisted a goal for Stabaek and inspired them to a 2-0 win over Stromsgodset. Kamal Issah was also in action for Stabaek while Mohammed Abu lasted the entire regulatory minutes.

ROMANIA

Midfielder Sulley Muniru was in action for Steaua Bucuresti who drew 1-1 with city-rivals Din. Bucuresti.

RUSSIA

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong returned to action and was booked in the 56th minute as his FK Ufa side slipped to a 1-0 loss against Zenith St Petersburg.

SWITZERLAND

Ebenezer Assifuah was in action for FC Sion as the held Vaduz to a 1-1 draw.

Samuel Afum was unused by Young Boys Bern as they hammered FC Thun 3-1.
