Ghana's Andy Yiadom

The Ghanaian has been a season long transfer target for the English Premier League newcomers.

Last week Barnsley reported that they had turned down an offer of around 1.5 million pounds for the defender from Huddersfield.

Aaron Mooy and Kasey Palmer have also returned following loan spells last season, but Wagner isn't done strengthening his squad ahead of the Premier League kick off.

The Mirror report that Wagner still wants to bring in Barnsley's Andy Yiadom, and a deal is edging closer with Huddersfield now prepared to pay the £2million asking price on the defender's head.

Ghana international Yiadom starred for Barnsley last season, impressing with his pace and attacking ability, having previously played as a winger earlier in his career, and he finished the season with three assists.

Now, Yiadom's remarkable rise is set to be capped off with a Premier League move, and he looks poised to offer major competition for Tommy Smith at right back in Wagner's Huddersfield side.
