Huddersfield Town are reportedly interested in Holstein Kiel forward Kingsley Schindler, but so are Werder Bremen.

The 23-year-old has scored five goals and assisted three more from a wide right position for the surprise Bundesliga 2. leaders.

Schindler was born in Germany and possesses both German and Ghanaian citizenship with Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah understood to be aware of the player and considering calling him into the Black Stars' squad.

German top-flight club Werder Bremen appear to be Town's main rivals for his signature and reports claim they have 'stretched out their tentacles' for the versatile attacker.

Schindler moved from Hoffenheim to Kiel in 2016 on a free transfer after failing to step up from the top-flight club's reserve team and he is under contract until 2019.
