Ghana coach Avram Grant has re-iterated he has no personal vendetta with in-form goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey.

The Israeli trainer has been unsuccessful in trying to convince the Portland Timbers gloves man to end his self-imposed exile.

Kwarasey launched a foul-mouthed tirade at Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Nassam Yakubu after the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.

There are reports the Norway-born claims he will only return to the team when Yakubu is sacked.

Attempts have been made to have the former Stromsgodset goalkeeper return to the national team with the recent being an invitation for the friendly match against Canada last month.

But the 27-year-old was unable to honour the invitation due to club commitment.

Grant, the former Chelsea coach, insists he does not factor in personal sentiments when making call ups to the Black Stars but stressed players must make his criteria for selection.

“I don’t have any personal issue with anybody in the Black Stars,” he said.

“For me I work for the team.

“There are three criteria I use to select players, first is quality, second is personality and third is commitment to the national team is the most important.”
