Dreams FC Executive Chairman Kurt Okraku has revealed how his passion and limitless love for football made him a club owner as a teenager.

At 17, the Ghana FA Executive Committee member was already a club owner, a coach as well as the captain of the same club he was the chairman.

With his great grandparents as part of the originators of Accra Hearts of Oak, football seems to be an inseparable gene in the blood of the Chairman of the FA Cup Committee.

When GHANAsoccernet.com quizzed him about owning a club as a teenager, Kurt who couldn't hide it, laughed and affirmed.

“I’ve been involved in football for a long time. I was seventeen years when I became the owner of a colts club. I was the chairman, the coach, and virtually everything for the club," he said.

He explained how his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Okraku offered him inspiration and support to run the club at 17.

“I was blessed to have received undiluted support from my parents – Mr. and Mrs. Okraku. They gave me financial support to run the club. My mum used to cook for the team."

Shooting Stars FC was the name of the 17 year old's club and perhaps, it explains why there exist an unbreakable barrier between Kurt Okraku and the deputy coach of Dreams FC Winfred Dormon.

“We used to compete in the colts league at Achimota. The club was Shooting Stars FC I recruited Winfred Dormon who is now the deputy coach of Dreams FC.

“I used to play as well. So I was the owner, the coach, the captain, and virtually everything for the club," he added.

Kurt Okraku's passion for football knows no boundaries and his tactful branding style of Dreams FC has won him many hearts within the football fraternity, and the revelation of being a club owner at 17 is just a confirmation of his endless love for the game.
