Ghana vice captain Andre Ayew perpetuated his commanding displays in the English Premier League after winning a penalty and scoring an outstanding finish for Swansea City in their 2-1 victory over Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Ayew, 26, emerged top inceptor for the half-time at the Goodison Park and has now has now scored or assisted 9 of the 22 Premier League goals scored by Swansea this season (41%), according to statistics released.

The winger, who is a target for both Sunderland and Tottenham Hotspur as well as Liverpool, put his soul on the ball and won a penalty which was converted by Iceland international Gylfi Sigurdsson in the 17th minute.

Jack Cork's own-goal nine minutes later levelled the scoring for the Toffees but their fans could not their moment of comfort for long as Andre restored Swansea's lead with a thunderous drive from the area.

Ayew was fed by Neil Taylor and his left-footed drive deflected John Stones and beat Tim Howard in the Everton post for his 8th goal of the season.

Even his effort in the first-half attracted his international team-mate Jonathan Mensah who watched the game from the screens in France to label him the 'beast'.

The former Olympique Marseille talisman has now scored 2 goals in his last 3 Premier League appearances having netted 1 in his previous 9, according to WhoScored.com.

Ayew was replaced in the 89th minute by Portugal international Eder as Swansea climbed further away from the drop zone with their second win in five games.
