Spanish-born could-be Ghanaian attacker Inaki Dannis Williams scored the consolation goal for Athletic Club in their 3-1 loss against Barcelona in the Spanish Copa del Rey final on Saturday night.

The 20-year-old out-jumped his marker to head home an Ibai cross in the 79th minute though his goal was not enough as a Lionel Messi brace and a wonder strike from Brazilian Neymar claimed the Copa del Rey title for the La Liga champions.

Inaki and his Athletic Club were hoping to shock an in-form Barcelona side at the Camp Nou but Lionel Messi netted twice to add to a Neymar beauty to annex the Copa del Rey trophy.

The striker who was born to Ghanaian and Liberian parents in Spain has maintained an impressive record all-season, scoring once in all competitions he has featured in for Athletic Club. He scored in the Uefa Europa League, Spanish La Liga and the Copa del Rey.

Inaki has been capped at U21 level by Spain but he could still switch his nationality to play for either Ghana or Liberia.
