Ghana winger Christian Atsu attended church service with South African striker Tokelo Rantie after the duo missed Bournemouth’s 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa at home.

Atsu is nursing an injury he picked up during the side’s pre-season friendly win over Yeovil Town late last month.

The Ghana international was spotted in a church with his African brother in a church on Sunday.

He Tweeted: "Blessed to be in the presence of the Lord today with @dungi31 juniorstanisla. We thank you Lord."

The 23-year-old is expected to return to action for the newly-promoted side when they travel to Anfield to face Liverpool.
