Ghana winger Christian Atsu has congratulated the Black Stars for their performance in Friday afternoon's 0-0 stalemate with Comoros in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Avram Grant's men failed to breakdown a plucky Comoros side in a goalless stalemate of the second qualifying round first leg tie. The Black Stars stirred up an incensed second-half display, hitting the side net twice in the dying embers of the game.
Atsu, 23, missed the game with injury and has returned to Chelsea for rehabilitation as he was left out of the squad by Avram Grant.
After watching the tie from West London, the former FC Porto starlet, who has been capped 42 times with 9 goals, has commended the Ghana side for their performance and insisted the second-leg tie remains the most important.
He took to Twitter to encourage his international team-mates after the game on Friday evening.
Well done black stars of Ghana. Next game is more important. â½ï¸ðð¿ðð¿ðð¿
