Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom once more again provided the assist to help DC United to a 2-o win over Tauro to help the side qualify to the quarter finals of the CONCACAF Champions League with a game to spare.

The 25-year-old’s inch-perfect cross was headed in by Chris Pontius to open the scoring in the 48th minute in the game played at the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium in Washington.

Inkoom is beginning to show a rising trend in his form having made the assist in United’s last win in the Champions League over Waterhouse.

Eddie Johnson scored eight minutes later to make the win safe for the hosts who have progressed to the quarter finals with a game to spare.

United will now return to their domestic campaign where they will be hosting Philadelphia Union in the MLS.
