Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom endured a nightmare on his full debut for Platanias in their heavy 3-0 defeat to Asteras Tripoli on Sunday afternoon.
The 24-year-old proved his fitness by starting and lasting the entire duration of the game played in Tripoli having just completed his loan move from FC Dnipro earlier last week.
Inkoom's enthusiasm on his debut for the Red Shamrock yielded no dividends as the side were sliced into pieces by their impressive hosts.
Argentine striker Mauricio Carrasco got the ball rolling for Asteras with the opening goal in the 19th minute before Khalifa Sankare doubled the lead on the stroke of half time.
Juanma then extended Asteras' lead five minutes into the restart to effectively kill off the game.
The game turned out to be a true baptism of fire for Ghana right-back Samuel Inkoom who had hoped to use his loan move as a catalyst to turn around the dwindling fortunes of his new club in the Greek top flight.
It was however turned out to be a nightmare as Platanias drop into the relegation zone.
Nikos Anastoupolus' side must now galvanize themselves to get the needed result in their next match at home to OFI.
Fellow Ghanaian Abdul-Aziz Tetteh also played the entire game in midfield for Platanias.
