Video: Inkoom yearns for Stephen Appiah return

Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has appealed to new coach Goran Stevanovic to lure ex-captain Stephen Appiah to return to international football.

The right-back believes the addition of the former Juventus midfielder, who quit the national team after the 2010 Fifa World Cup finals, will help bolster the team.

Appiah has been making some cameo appearances for Cesena which is battling to beat the drop.

Inkoom scored his first international goal on Tuesday in the 4-1 win over Togo and passionately feels Appiah is fit to aid Ghana's quest to win laurels.

"Everybody wants to prove something to the new coach. I think the team is there and we have a lot of players to come and join like Michael Essien and for me I will add Stephen Appiah because if he's in the squad now, everything will go well," the FC Dnipro new signing said.
