Inter Allies captain Joseph Aidoo has expressed his delight after making the final 21-man squad to represent Ghana at the U-20 African Youth Championship.

The Eleven Is To One captain played the first two matches of the qualifiers against Sierra Leone and got injured, which forced him to miss last hurdle against Gabon.

Fortunately, the hardworking defender recovered on time to join the national squad once again after excelling for Inter Allies this season and made the final squad for the tournament which is slated for March this year.

Aidoo acknowledged the fact that he made it to the national with the help of his Inter Allies teammates and calls for celebration.

"I share this joy with my teammates at Inter Allies for helping to display my qualities to the national team handlers and to represent my country at the U-20 African Cup," he told www.interalliesfc.com

"It's a great privilege to be selected to play for Ghana at this level, this is a fantastic platform to showcase the name of my club and I'm really looking forward to it."

"Hopefully, I can make the best of this opportunity to exhibit my talent as well, I thank God for this feat."

Making over 27 appearances for the club last season, Aidoo joined from a Third Division side Sonic FC in Tema and graduated through the ranks of the club to reach this level.

His sterling performance last season earned him a double-nomination in the best defender categories of the 2013/14 MTN FA Cup and 2013/14 First Capital Plus Premier League awards.

Before leaving for national duties, Inter Allies had played seven league games with Aidoo featuring in all the games, full time without receiving a card.
