Interim coach of Inter Allies Karim Zito says he was aware of the daunting task of helping the club retain their Premier League status.

Zito was appointed as an interim trainer last month following the sacking of Prince Owusu.

The former Dreams FC coach guided the club to their first win in four games over the weekend as they defeated Medeama SC 2-0 at the El Wak Stadium which boosted their chances of beating the drop.

“I know it would be a difficult task coming to Inter Allies, but I agreed to take up the task when the offer came and my boss told me. As a coach, you do not always have to look out for the good things, sometimes you have to go in for the challenge and I am happy to embrace it.” Zito told footballmadeinghana.com

“The win was over Medeama was good for us, looking at how the league is going, we don’t have to lose our home games. My players did what was expected of them and I am glad for the win and they were determined from the on set.”

“The Liberty game this weekend is a must- win for us. luckily, we are playing at home. We need to go out for the kill which can guarantee us our stay in the league."

Allies are now 13th on the league log with 36 points.
