Inter close in on young Feyenoord star

Inter are reportedly making progress in their attempt to sign the 21-year-old attacking midfielder Tonny Vilhena from Feyenoord on a free transfer.

The Netherlands Under-21 international has made over 100 senior appearances for the Rotterdam club but they announced that he would be allowed to leave in the summer on account of his high wage demands.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri were on the verge of having Vilhena sign a five-year contract worth €700,000 per season.

It had previously been reported that official confirmation was imminent although it is now believed that it may take longer although the club are continuing to make slow progress with the player and his representatives.

The 21-year-old made 19 starts for Feyenoord during the 2015-16 season, scoring five goals and providing four assists for his teammates.
