Inter Milan defender Ranocchia on Conte\'s Chelsea wish-list

Published on: 28 March 2016

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is reportedly keen on Inter Milan's Andrea Ranocchia.

The Daily Star suggests that the current Italy manager, who is widely expected to take the reins at Stamford Bridge this summer, is determined to lure the defender to West London.

Ranocchia, 28, is currently on loan at Sampdoria and is out of contract with the Nerazzurri this summer which makes him an attractive proposition for Conte as he will be available on a free.

Liverpool went after the centre-back in January but were unsuccessful in their pursuit and now Conte, who has coached the former Genoa man at national team level, is eyeing a reunion as Chelsea prepare for the departure of captain John Terry and continue to deal with the injury absence Kurt Zouma.
