Interim coach of Inter Allies Karim Zito has expressed his delight at helping the club retained their Premier League status following their scoreless draw game with Hearts of Oak on the final day of the campaign.

Inter Allies were impressive on the final day of the season against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sport Stadium as a stalemate was enough to guarantee their place in next season's league.

In the aftermath of the match, coach Zito, who was hired towards the final embers of the campaign to steer the team to safety could not hide his joy after achieving the feat.

"It wasn’t easy because I haven’t been in such situation before, so It was a challenge to me and I accepted, and now I have taken it as a warm up into the premier division. For a long time I’ve been out of the premier division system so when Inter Allies came calling I took it as a big opportunity to warm myself into the league ahead of next season," Zito told reporters.

"It was a very stern challenge if I’m being truthful but I’m very happy to have stood the test of time."

The former Asante Kotoko trainer will vacate his position from the club to rejoin Dreams FC ahead of the start of next season.

Inter Allies finished 13th on the log with 40 points, three points above the drop zone.
