The hopes of those keen on seeing the back of the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have been dashed after ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas rubbished reports that he has carried out investigations on graft at the federation insisting he was misunderstood.

The renowned undercover journalist in a recent interview with Starr FM stated that he has a “prima facie evidence” of corruption in Ghana football without stating that the GFA.

This put the opponents of the current leadership of the GFA in a frenzy with jubilation that they will have firm evidence of corruption after several months of allegations of graft.

However, the journalist who hardly misses with his investigations says he never stated there was corruption at the GFA but he is looking within the whole gamut of Ghana football.

"I did not say I have investigated the corruption at the GFA. What I said was in response to a question I was asked as to whether there is corruption in Ghana football which I said yes. But I did not go further," Anas said.

Various commentaries have been made about the Ghana FA with regards to corruption with some expressing happiness that the ace undercover journalist has finally exposed the rot.

But Anas seems to have thwarted the hopes of those who were expecting the FA to be exposed.
