Isaac Amoako, Stephen Oduro ... 3 others could be second batch of transfers from Kotoko

Kumasi Asante Kotoko could release veteran and experienced midfielder Stephen Oduro and goalkeeper Isaac Amoako in their second batch of players to be released by the club, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.

A statement of the club's website had hinted that there will be a second batch of players who will be transfer-listed by the club after seven players were released with two others on loan.

"Communications Manager, Kwaku Ahenkorah this disclosed this to Asantekotokosc.com on Wednesday. He said this is the first batch of the players who are on their way out of the club adding that, Kotoko's transfer and recruitment exercise has been activated," the statement noted.

Ghanasoccernet investigations have revealed that the veteran midfielder and former AshantiGold goalie are leading the list of players who are on their way out of the red family as the management as well the technical team are in talks with the players involved.

The other three players who will also make it in the second batch of the transfer-listed players include former captain Ohene Brenya, injured midfielder Larbi Koomson and winger Emmanuel Asante as the technical team is set to revamp the playing body ahead of next season.

The seven players who have already been transfer-listed by the Porcupine Warriors include defenders; Smallboy Korbah and Akwasi Acheampong, midfielders; Richard Mpong, Prince Baffoe, Richard Oti and Jordan Opoku and striker, Latif Amadu.

Ivorian attacker Ahmed Simba Toure and former club captain Micheal Akuffo are already on loan to Lebanese sides as the rebuilding process commences for the reds.

The 2014 league and FA Cup champions placed 6th on the table in the just ended league and could not defend their FA Cup title as they lost 2-1 in the finals to Medeama SC.
