Ghanaian striker Isaac Boakye has revealed he has no intentions of regaining a place in the Black Stars squad for the 2014 World Cup.

The 32-year-old former VfL Wolfsburg striker has rejoined Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League as he hopes to recapture his form and help the Porcupine Warriors in their African campaign.

Many foreign-based players mostly return to play domestic football to capture the attention of national team selectors and return abroad but Boakye, who scored 8 times in over 20 appearances for Ghana between 2001 and 2007 , says he habours no such intentions.

"I don't have any such intentions but my focus is now on helping Kotoko in their campaign in Africa," he said after Kotoko's 1-1 draw with Tema Youth in a friendly on Wednesday.

He joined Kotoko along with former Ghana regular Rahim Ayew.
