Former Ghana striker Isaac Boakye was among the scorers for Asante Kotoko as they posted a comfortable 3-0 win over First Klass in the MTN FA Cup on Sunday at the Baba Yara Stadium.

The 32-year-old was marking his official debut for Didi Dramani's side which joining them in December and was the second goal in the 63rd minute as Kotoko dispatched the third-tier side in Kumasi.

Mas-Ud Dramani had Rahim Ayew and Isaac Boakye in his starting line-up for the game and the two players gave good account of themselves in front of home fans in Kumasi.

Kotoko needed more patience and perspicacity to breakdown a stubborn First Klass defensive network and their persistence paid off three minutes before the break as Issah Yakubu scored the opening goal.

After the break, Boakye showed he is still good as he doubled the advantage just after the hour mark before former RTU striker Aminu Mohammed scored the last goal four minutes to full time.

Another fruitless and wasted venture!!! Am not surprised kotoko has remained tropyless in continental football for god knows when!! If u ve yaya Mohammed, bansy, Isaac boakye as your strikers, then it means u ve no intention of competing let alone vying for a trophy because these strikers are blunt and useless!!! Is about time ghanaians as a whole becomes more serious and concerned about these so called useless strikers at our clubs, these heart attack strikers will continue to cause us pains and heartaches!! How has bansy or yaya Mohammed managed to score more goals in the so called glo premier league? How? Am surprised and shock because these two strikers are simply useless and lackadaisical and if they are indeed leading goalscorers in the league, then it means the Ghanaian league is indeed weak and very useless!!! Bansy couldn't score even a single goal in the Chan and yaya Mohammed was the worst player in the whole Chan, running aimlessly and careleesly for entire duration of each match committing numerous unnecessary fouls and fallen down all over the place like a babe!!! Is about time, kotoko and the other so called premier leagues get serious about strikers training because is indeed very sad that a powerful football nation like Ghana, ll send these half baked strikers to a major tournament like Chan relying on one goal project to advance!! Is really sad indeed!!!
