Asante Kotoko assistant trainer Michael Osei is confident experienced striker Isaac Boakye will be ready for the second round of the Ghana Premier League.

The 32-year-old VfL Wolfsburg striker returned to Kotoko in December but was ineligible to play for the Porcupine Warriors due to league regulations.

The former Ghana international striker has been working on his match fitness ahead of the resumption of the Ghana Premier League next month and Kotoko assistant coach Michael Osei believes the striker will be well ready for both their domestic and continental assignments.

"He [Isaac Boakye] is very experienced and knows what to do. He is very focused and we believe he will be ready for the Kotoko when the league resumes," he told Accra-based Oman FM.

Kotoko have also signed versatile defender Rahim Ayew and Larbi Koomson for the season round.
