Ishmael Addo says he is yet to be contacted by Hearts

Former Ghana Premier League top scorer Ishmael Addo has confirmed he is yet to be contacted by Hearts but admits he would like to rejoin the Phobians.

Reports in the local media last week claimed the 30-year-old is in negotiations with Hearts for a return to the former African champions.

But the former Bastia forward has revealed he is yet to be officially contacted by the capital club.

“No one has contacted me yet about returning to Hearts but I will not overlook the chance if it comes,” he told Accra-based Happy FM.

Addo, who won the Ghana Premier League top scorer three times, is full of praise for mercurial midfielder Laryea Kingston.

“Laryea started before me and I had the chance to play with him some couple of times.

“I’m very happy for Laryea and I would like to play along him again.

Addo insists he is still energetic for active football.

“I’m not 40 years and I can still play active football and this is evident in Europe. An example is Paolo Maldini of AC Milan.”
