Istanbul FC secure Ghana's promotional play-offs slot after thrashing Sporting Mirren

Istanbul FC have qualified to the promotional play-offs after beating Sporting Mirren 3-0 on Sunday.

Top scorer Andrews Okyere opened the scoring as early as the second minute before Felix Addo added the second in the 33rd minute.

Captain Eric Agyei scord a spectacular goal five minutes from time to move within two points of leaders Great Olympics.

The ambitious Eastern Regional-based side have amassed 23 points from 12 games with two games left to play.

They will host Real Athletico on Sunday before they travel to Accra to face Nania FC in their last encounter.

The Akyem Techiman-based side are beginning to feel they can secure qualification to the country’s top-flight League next season.

Their head coach Jonas Amissah has been preaching unity ahead of what is expected to be the most important stage of the qualifying campaign.

    What kind of team names are these? Istanbul FC and Real Athletico all in Ghana? Is it inferiority complex or what. For names alone I pray that none of you qualifies to the premier league.
