President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, SWAG, Kwabena Yeboah has disclosed that it will be hypocritical for anyone to think that there are no matches of convenience in the ongoing First Capital Plus Premier League.

According to the ace broadcaster and commentator, the current league has been engulfed by matches of convenience and that anyone who claims there are no such matches in the league are only tickling themselves.

Speaking to Angel FM in Kumasi, the seasoned sports journalist, Kwanena Yeboah said, "only hypocrites will think there are no matches of convenience in our Ghanaian football system".

He extended it to Africa as a whole stating explicitly  that "football is about brotherhood in Africa" and that football matches in Africa are played based on who knows who and not on merit.

He was however quick to say that it will be difficult to provide evidence to these claims.

The First Capital Plus Premier League is at the 28th week and last two matches will be played on the 6th and 13th September.
