Italian outfit Cagliari to hold talks with free-agent Sulley Muntari next week over a possible switch

Newly-promoted Italian side Cagliari will hold a meeting with free-agent Ghanaian midfielder Sulley Muntari over a possible move next week.

The Italian side are keen to bring more experience and prestige to their Seria A squad by bringing in the former AC and Inter Milan enforcer.

Officials of the newly-promoted Sardinians will hold a meeting with Muntari with a hope of striking a deal latest next week.

Muntari is an intriguing name on the wishlist of the side, having spent majority of his playing career in Italy.

The African, who turns 32 next month, is a free agent after his contract with Saudi side Al Ittihad expired.
