Italian side Fiorentina have set sights on Ghanaian midfielder Joseph Alfred Duncan, according to reports in Italy.

According to Italian paper, the Republic, La Viola are looking to purchase the Sassuolo enforcer as a replacement for Matias Vecino, who joined Inter Milan last week.

Fiorentino were initially reported to be interested in Torino midfielder Marco Benassi, however his €20 million price-tag put them off and have now switched their attention to the 24-year-old Ghanaian.

Sassuolo have already stated that Duncan will not leave for anything less than €20 million after they rejected Inter Milan’s €12 million bid on Monday.

Duncan has three more years on his Sassuolo contract but is opened to a move outside the Mapei Stadium.
