Italy-based goalkeeper Lys Gomis has withdrawn from Senegalââ¬â¢s squad to face Ghana and Le Havre in this monthââ¬â¢s international friendlies in France due to injury.
Gomis, who was among four goalkeepers invited by Aliou Cisse, suffered a broken nose last Saturdayââ¬â¢s Serie B side between his side Trapani against Bologna.
He was unconscious on the hour mark after a collision with an opponent and was rushed to the St. Anthony Trapani hospital where he was revived.
"Yesterday (Saturday) at the Trapani-Bologna match, I got a headache and I broke my nose. I went to the hospital. I'm sorry, but I cannot answer the call of the national team. I really wanted to go, but that's for next time. Hi all Senegalese!," Posted the goalkeeper on his Facebook account.
