Italy-based goalkeeper Lys Gomis has withdrawn from Senegal’s squad to face Ghana and Le Havre in this month’s international friendlies in France due to injury.

Gomis, who was among four goalkeepers invited by Aliou Cisse, suffered a broken nose last Saturday’s Serie B side between his side Trapani against Bologna.

He was unconscious on the hour mark after a collision with an opponent and was rushed to the St. Anthony Trapani hospital where he was revived.

"Yesterday (Saturday) at the Trapani-Bologna match, I got a headache and I broke my nose. I went to the hospital. I'm sorry, but I cannot answer the call of the national team. I really wanted to go, but that's for next time. Hi all Senegalese!," Posted the goalkeeper on his Facebook account.
