ITALY/ JUVENTUS, Reopening on Mata for next season

Published on: 11 February 2016

Disappointed by Hernanes' impact on the squad, Juventus management are planning to rely on a new experienced offensive midfielder/frontline footballer for next season. On the matter, a reopening arised regarding the track leading to Spanish international winger and forward Juan Manuel Mata (27), probably oriented to leave Manchester United next summer, despite being fine at Red Devils for the time being, since José Mourinho, whom he dealt quite bad terms with during 2013/14 first half (which led him to leave Blues for good indeed, moreover in order to join Old Trafford rivals), is going to be the new manager, replacing Louis Van Gaal. Currently on a deal with United until June 2018, former Valencia star's annual salary amounts to about 8.5 million euros at the time, a possibly prohibitive sum for Italian giants. Mata seems however fascinated by the chance to join Bianconeri and experience Serie A for the first time in his own career.
