Asante Kotoko's Ivorian striker Ahmed Toure claims he is interested in switching allegiance to play for Ghana if the opportunity presents itself.

The 23-year-old has been sensational since he re-joined the club during the second-transfer window and he underlined his form during Kotoko 2-0 victory over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak in a Premier League match on 26 March.

The ex- Africa Sports player is yet to earn a call-up from the Ivory Coast FA but says he would not baulk to play for African best ranked country.

"I want to play for Ghana. I love Ghana. Ghana is my second home. I will like to play for the Black Stars if I get the chance," Toure told the club's official newspaper, Asante Kotoko Express

"I am a footballer. I believe I can perform for any team when I am given the chance. If Ghana gives me the chance, I will perform. I am sure about that."
