Berekum Chelsea will be without suspended captain Jackson Owusu for their CAF Champions League first round qualifier against Ahly Benghazi.

The midfielder received a straight red card in their first leg preliminary round qualifier against Atlabara at home.

Owusu will serve a four-match ban including the match he got sent off.

"Jackson is ruled out of our next two games in Africa,” Berekum Chelsea General Manager Oduro Sarfo told GHANASoccernet.com.

"His card was a straight red and in this year’s CAF rules its four games starting from the game he was sent off. That’s why we were mad at him"

Chelsea will host the Libyan outfit at the Golden City Park on 2 March and the return leg in Benghazi between the weekend of 7-9 March.
