Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak are set to sign teenager Jacob Laryea Kingston who is a son of former Ghana star Laryea Kingston, according to reports in the local media.

Jacob, 16, is playing with the Phobians' reserves side Auroras but Hearts' technical team headed by Herbert Addo have been keenly watching the progress of the attacking midfielder who is cast in the mould of his father who is a cult figure at the capital club.

The youngster is among a fine collection of youngsters who are cropping at Hearts' youth side and is rated better than Emmanuel Odartey who is his age mate.

Odartey, a holding midfielder, has already made a couple of first team appearances for Hearts of Oak despite his tender age and scored in a friendly win last week.

Hearts' youth team coach Dauda Lutterodt Jacob is in the books of Herbert Addo as he continues monitoring the progress of the youngster.

"Yes the technical team has seen him play a couple of times and is impressed with his performance and they feel that having him on board will help him become a better player," he told Sports Crusader.

"We have spoken to him and believe that Auroras will be the best start for him considering his age so when the next transfer window opens he will sign for us."
