Dutch-born Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Sarpong scored to ensure NAC Breda progressed to the third round of the Dutch Cup on Tuesday night.

The 26-year-old struck in the 74th minute as Breda resisted a stubborn Spakenburg to claim their place in the next round of the competition at the Sportpark De Westmaat.

Breda who also had Ghanaian attacker Kingsley Boateng in action had their lead cancelled twice by the third-tier side but Sarpong ensure he killed the game off and sealed the place.

Boateng also lasted the entire duration of the game.
