Crystal Palace hard-fought 1-0 win over Watford in the English Premier League over the weekend was fully deserved, according to Ghana winger Jeffrey Schlupp.

Schlupp was left elated after he enjoyed the entire duration of the game at the Selhurst Park with Troy Deeney scored an own goal to had Palace a victory at home.

He told club’s official website says the victory was well-deserved: "It was a difficult one. We knew what was going to come from Watford, we knew it was going to be a physical game," he told Palace TV. "I think we deserved that win today, created some chances and it was a bit unfortunate for them with the own goal, but it was always coming from us.

"Their gameplan might have been to try to lock off our wingers, they would know how dangerous they are. Wilf and Andros do a great job taking on their full backs and stuff, so I don't think that gameplan really worked out too well!

"You've got to give us credit, that's another clean sheet and another win, so now I'm just looking forward to that next game."

The 23-year-old is enjoying a decent spell at Crystal Palace since his £12million winter transfer move from Leicester City.
