Seoul: Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors will clinch the 2017 K League Classic title if they beat closest challengers Jeju United on Sunday.

Jeonbuk and Jeju will square off at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju in their fourth meeting of the season.

Jeonbuk currently lead the league with 69 points from 20 wins, nine draws and six losses. Jeju are four points behind Jeonbuk with 19 wins, eight draws and eight losses.

Jeonbuk, coached by Choi Kang-hee, can clinch their fifth league title with a win over Jeju regardless of their remaining two matches.

Jeju, under the guidance of head coach Jo Sung-hwan, can take the title race further down to the wire with a win over Jeonbuk, since it will cut the deficit to one point.

Jeonbuk have already secured their berth for the 2018 AFC Champions League, which is given to the top three clubs in the Classic and the winners of the Korean Football Association Cup.

Jeju have yet to confirm their ticket to the 2018 AFC Champions League as they are currently six points above third-placed Ulsan Hyundai and eight ahead of fourth-placed Suwon Samsung Bluewings.
