Precocious English-born Ghanaian starlet Joe Dodoo showed he means no joke in goalmouth business by scoring an early-minute opener for Premier League side Leicester City in their break-sweat 2-1 triumph over West Ham United in the English League Cup on Tuesday night.

The highly-gifted 18-year-old attacker raced the Foxes into the lead with a 6th minute strike with a clinical finish inside the Hammers box.

But Argentine Mauro Zarate equalised for the visitors on the 24th minute mark to send the game into extra-time before Welsh man Andy King sealed the victory for the Premier League comeback kings with a 116th minute goal.

Dodoo earned his selection into Claudio Ranieri squad for the third time this season and he was no slacker; scoring in both league games he has started and shining in a Premier League game.

The youngster who is becoming a subject of interest between the Ghana Football Association and the English FA has set an impressive record in the English competition after becoming the only player to have scored with all four of his shots in the League Cup this season.

While he was embarking his heroics for the night, his Ghanaian team-mate Jeffrey Schlupp started the game from the bench was introduced midway through the second-half to anchor the hosts' defence.

Dodoo was replaced in the 81st minute Algerian hit-man Riyiad Mahrez who has notched 5 goals in the Premier League's current season.
