John Atikese chosen to referee Kotoko- Hearts cracker

Referee John Atikese has been appointed to referee the Premier League super clash between Kotoko and Hearts on Sunday.

The Ghana Football Association’s website confirmed the class one referee will take charge of the crunch game at the Baba Yara stadium.

Atikese will be assisted on the lines by Koforidua-based Ben Vormawor and Effah Tetteh with Vincent Otoo serving as fourth official.

His appointment is not expected to be viewed as controversial one, having seen previous referees embroiled in accusations and counter-accusations of bribery.

Kotoko are three points above Hearts going into the encounter and know a win would take them second on the table and put them in control of their bid to defend their crown.
